1. Oroantral communication + Implant 25 displaced into left maxillary sinus

Implant 25 has been displaced into the left maxillary sinus. The implant is positioned along the anterolateral wall of the maxillary sinus apical to sites 25 and 26. Moderate sinusitis is present within the left maxillary sinus. An oroantral communication is present within the apical aspect of site 25.

Orthogonal views of displaced implant in left maxillary sinus

These orthogonal cross-sectional images demonstrate the position of the implant along the anterolateral wall of the left maxillary sinus.

3. Right maxillary sinus mucositis or sinusitis

The medial portion of the right maxillary sinus captured in this scan demonstrates complete opacification. Based on this limited area, it is not possible to determine whether this represents mucositis or sinusitis of the right maxillary sinus.

2. Moderate mucositis in the left maxillary sinus

Moderate mucositis is present in the left maxillary sinus. This may be secondary to the displaced implant within the antral cavity or the result of the oroantral communication at site 25.

Axial views of left maxillary sinus

These axial cross-sectional images demonstrate the displaced implant within the left maxillary sinus, as well as the presence of moderate mucositis.

Sagittal views of the left maxillary sinus

These sagittal cross-sectional images demonstrate the defect in the floor of the left maxillary sinus adjacent to site 25, which reflects the presence of an oroantral communication.

4. Interproximal caries on teeth 26/27

Interproximal caries are present between teeth 26 and 27. Restorative treatment is indicated.

5. Defect in nasal septum due to Wegener's granulomatosis

A defect is present in the nasal septum. This is consistent with a purported history of Wegener's granulomatosis.

6. Healed buccal bone graft and socket preservation at site 46

The bone grafting material along the buccal aspect of the alveolar process at site 46 has healed normally, as socket preservation material is evident at this site. The bone density is similar to the contiguous trabecular bone.

Periodontal bone loss in right posterior mandible

Mild horizontal periodontal bone loss is noted on teeth 47, 45, and 44. Tooth 47 exhibits early furcal involvement.
