1. Florid osseous dysplasia in anterior mandible
Multiple foci of sclerotic bone formation are dispersed throughout the anterior mandibular alveolar process body between teeth 44 and 35. Low density granular bone formation surrounds these sclerotic foci. The contiguous buccal and lingual cortical plates are thinned and exhibit undulating expansion. This reflects the presence of florid osseous dysplasia. No signs of secondary infection are present, and no treatment is required.

Coronal views of anterior mandible
These coronal cross-sectional images demonstrate the presence of multiple sclerotic foci surrounded by low density granular bone formation within the anterior mandibular alveolar process and body. This reflects a large region of florid osseous dysplasia. The inferior mandibular cortex remains intact.
2. Osseous dysplasia apical to tooth 48
A focal area of granular bone formation is present within the periapical region of tooth 48. This reflects another site of osseous dysplasia. No treatment is required.
3. Osseous dysplasia at site 36/37
Granular bone formation is present within the edentulous 36/37 region. A small radiopacity is evident within this region of granular bone apical to site 37. This reflects another site of osseous dysplasia. Implant placement into this area should be avoided.
