1. Osteoma on posterior arch of C1
The small well defined cortical osteoma is protruding from the superior surface of the posterior arch of C1 off the midline on the right side. Further investigations are warranted only if the patient reports symptoms in this area.
2. Cervical degenerative joint disease
Osteophytes and subchondral sclerosis are present in the articular regions of the Atlas and dens of the cervical vertebrae. This is a common incidental finding with no clinical significance that is suggestive of cervical degenerative joint disease.
3. Calcification in the left articular disc
A linear well defined soft tissue calcification is seen along the superior surface of the left condylar head. This most likely represents calcification in the articular disc of the TMJ. The remaining osseous and soft tissue structures of the left TMJ including the position of the condylar head within its respective fossa all seem to be within normal limits. Further investigation is warranted only if the patient reports symptoms related to the TMJs.
4. Retention pseudocyst in the left maxillary sinus
There is a well defined dome shaped soft tissue density along the floor of the left maxillary sinus. This is consistent with a retention pseudcyst which a common incidental finding and is of no clinical significance.
