Maxillary occlusal plane canted by 4°
The maxillary occlusal plane is canted relative to the inter-zygomatic line by 4°. A mild mandibular asymmetry is present as well.

These orthogonal cross-sectional images demonstrate the shift of the mandibular midline to the left. The slight occlusal cant is also evident in these images.
Measurements of mandibular asymmetry
The right mandibular ramus and condyle are slightly larger than the left ramus and condyle. The right mandibular body maybe slightly longer than the left mandibular body. This is responsible for the slight mandibular midline shift to the left.
1. Dense bone island causing resorption of tooth 25
A dense bone island is present in the periapical region of tooth 25. This dense bone island has caused mild resorption of the root of the tooth. The periapical periodontal ligament space remains intact between the dense bone island and the residual root apex of tooth 25.
History of external root resorption on multiple teeth
The anterior maxillary teeth have high crown to root ratio, which is suggestive of a history of resorption secondary to orthodontic tooth movement.
2. Dense bone islands in first quadrant
Multiple small dense bone islands are present in the first quadrant apical to teeth 14 and 15. This is a nonsignificant incidental finding and has not had any effects on the surrounding structures.
3. Sclerotic bone apical to tooth 46M
A small amount of sclerosis is present in the periapical region of the mesial root of tooth 46. This is a nonsignificant incidental finding.
4. Calcified stylohyoid ligaments
The stylohyoid ligaments are partially calcified bilaterally. This is an incidental finding with no clinical significance.
