Axial views of right maxillary sinus from previous scan on 18 September 2014

These axial cross-sectional images of the right maxillary sinus from the prior scan on 18 September 2014 demonstrate the absence of any pathology or foreign bodies within the right maxillary sinus.

1. Foreign body in right maxillary sinus

A membrane-like foreign body that resembles a curled sheet of paper is present in the right maxillary sinus. A thin layer of mucositis overlies this structure. This may be the source of the patient's symptoms. A defect is present in the lateral wall of the right maxillary sinus adjacent to this foreign body.

Axial views of right maxillary sinus

These axial cross-sectional images demonstrate the curled membrane-like foreign body that is present in the right maxillary sinus. This structure was not present in the prior scan on 18 September 2014.

Mesiodistal views of right maxillary sinus

These mesiodistal cross-sectional images demonstrate the linear cross-section of the sheet-like foreign body that is present in the right maxillary sinus.

Coronal views of right maxillary sinus

These coronal cross-sectional images demonstrate the small defect that is present at the lateral wall of the right maxillary sinus adjacent to the foreign body.

The implant at site 16 appears normal radiographically. The implant appears to be fully osseointegrated.
