Periodontal bone loss

Moderate horizontal periodontal bone loss is present within the mandibular arch. Furcal involvement is evident on teeth 46 and 47.

Normal edentulous sites in maxilla

The edentulous sites in the maxilla appear normal radiographically. No intraosseous pathology is present.

Mild mucositis in the right maxillary sinus

Mild mucositis is present within the right maxillary sinus, which represents a non-significant finding. This level of mucosal thickening will not impede a potential sinus lift procedure.

Clear left maxillary sinus

The left maxillary sinus is clear. There are no impediments to a potential left maxillary sinus lift.

1. Calcified mass in spinal canal: Medical referral indicated

A well-defined calcified mass is present within the left posterolateral aspect of the spinal canal at the level of C1. No osseous abnormalities are noted adjacent to this region of calcification. Medical referral is indicated to determine the nature of this calcified mass.

Axial views of C1

These axial cross-sectional images demonstrate a normal appearance of the osseous structures of the C1 vertebra adjacent to the calcified mass within the left posterolateral aspect of the spinal canal.

2. Moderate degenerative joint disease in the left TMJ

A prominent osteophyte has formed along the anterior aspect of the left condylar head, and articular flattening and joint space narrowing are also present within the left temporomandibular joint. This appearance is suggestive of the presence of moderate degenerative joint disease.

3. Concha bullosa

The left middle nasal concha contains air. This represents a concha bullosa and is an incidental finding with no clinical significance.

4. Intracranial calcification of internal carotid arteries

Focal calcifications are visible lining the walls of the cavernous segments of the right and left internal carotid arteries. These findings may represent signs of atherosclerosis. The significance of this finding cannot be determined based on CBCT imaging alone.

5. Calcified stylohyoid ligaments

The stylohyoid ligaments are partially calcified bilaterally. This is an incidental finding with no clinical significance.
