1. Resorption on tooth 11

A well-defined zone of resorption originating in the root canal of tooth 11 is present in the coronal third of the root. A thin shell of dentin surrounds this resorptive zone. Outside of this dentinal shell, there is another thin area of resorption that mimics the shape of the more internal resorptive zone. This outer resorptive area extends to the buccal surface of the root. The apex of tooth 11 also appears blunted. The periapical and periradicular bone appears normal. No signs of root fracture are present.

2. Resorption on tooth 12

Periapical rarefying osteitis is present on tooth 12. A second focus of rarefying osteitis is present on the buccal aspect of the apical third of the root, suggesting the presence of a lateral canal. The palatal cortical plate overlying the apex of this tooth is dehiscent. The apical foramen is enlarged, suggesting resorption. The remaining periapical and periradicular bone appears normal. No signs of root fracture are present.

3. Dense bone island palatal to tooth 23

A dense bone island is present within the superior and palatal aspect of the alveolar process, palatal to tooth 23. This dense bone island has not had any effects on its surrounding structures and is a non-significant incidental finding.
