Site 36: Adequate bone
A 5x8mm cylinder was overlaid on the adjacent images at site 36. Adequate bone exists for implant placement at this site.
1. External resorption on tooth 42Li
External resorption is present on the lingual surface of tooth 42 at the midroot level. The pulp chamber has not been affected. The tooth remains vital. Alveolar bone has extended into the region of external resorption.
2. Early external resorption on tooth 33Bu
Early external resorption is present on the buccal surface of the root of tooth 33 at the midroot level. Alveolar bone has extended into this region of resorption. The tooth remains vital. The resorption is well-defined and is confined to a small region of the root.
3. Caries on tooth 34DB
A carious lesion appears to be present on the distobuccal surface of tooth 34 at the level of the cementoenamel junction. This finding can be confirmed clinically. Tooth 34 remains vital.
4. Possible early external resorption or lateral canal on tooth 46MB
A small defect is present on the buccal surface of the mesial root of tooth 46 at the midroot level. This may represent an early resorptive defect or a lateral canal. The tooth appears normal otherwise.
