Normal tooth 32
Tooth 32 appears normal radiographically. The periodontal ligament space is of uniform width around the tooth and the lamina dura is intact. Tooth 31 is positioned mesiobuccally to tooth 32.
Thin buccal cortical plate over tooth 31
The buccal cortical plate overlying tooth 31 is thin, but intact. The buccal plate is paper-thin over the buccal surface of the coronal half of the root of tooth 31.
Lingually positioned tooth 41
Tooth 41 is positioned lingually in the alveolar process. The lingual cortical plate overlying the root of the tooth is thin, but intact. Tooth 42 is positioned buccally to tooth 41.
Thin or absent buccal cortical plate at tooth 42
The buccal cortical plate overlying tooth 42 is thin, and may potentially be absent over the coronal half of the buccal root surface. The tooth appears normal otherwise.
Normal tooth 43
Tooth 43 appears normal radiographically. The periodontal ligament space is of uniform width around the tooth and the lamina dura is intact. The buccal cortical plate is thin, but intact, adjacent to the root of this tooth.

1. Small dense bone island apical to tooth 34
A small dense bone island is present in the alveolar process in the periapical region of tooth 34. This dense bone island has not had any effect on the surrounding structures and is a non-significant incidental finding.
